● Fresh Start Checking: Helps you rebuild or improve your credit.

● No Hassle Checking: A completely fee-free account with no frills and, of course, no hassles.

● Rewards Checking: Our rewards account with three rewards tiers. Each tier comes with minimum balance requirements, plus you’ll enjoy great benefits and cash-back rewards.

That part’s easy – we’ll take care of it for you. Just complete an application, and based on your credit history and account needs, we’ll match you with either Fresh Start, No Hassles, or a Rewards Checking.

You can see your checking account type in digital banking, and on your statements.

Contact the credit union. Stop by in person, or give us a call, text, or send us a secure message through digital banking and our Member Service Representatives will take care of the rest.

If you already have a Fresh Start or Rewards checking, you’ll automatically start receiving rewards once you meet the minimum requirements. If you have a No Hassle checking and wish you start receiving rewards, contact the credit union to update your checking account type! It’s as easy as that!

If you have opted into the Rewards Checking, you will automatically be placed into the Rewards Tier based on your direct deposit employer, direct deposit amount, and debit card purchases for that month.

The Tier may change each month depending on your direct deposit details and debit card usage. It is important to note that some months, you may not earn rewards if you don't meet the minimum criteria.

You will be able to track your rewards in digital banking.

If you don’t meet the minimum direct deposit requirement, or debit card usage in any month, you simply won’t receive the cash back reward for that month. Your account type won’t change, and you’ll get the opportunity to meet the requirements again next month.

Each account has a monthly cap:

● Fresh Start: Up to $10/month

● No Hassles: This account type doesn’t earn rewards. Contact the credit union to switch to a rewards account!

● Rewards Checking – City of Fort Worth Employees/Retirees with less than $500 debit card usage: Up to $10/month

● Rewards Checking Tier 1: Up to $20/month

● Rewards Checking Tier 2: Up to $30/month

For Rewards Checking: The rewards tier you are in will depend on your direct deposit amount, and debit card purchases for that month.

Your cash back depends on your account type and how much you spend. Each tier has its own cap. See additional details above or in our disclosures

Cash back is deposited monthly on the 15th of the month for activity from the month prior (for example, rewards earned during January are deposited on the 15th of February). Cash back is deposited to your membership share account.

The Fresh Start checking has a $7 monthly fee that is waived if you have at least $1000 total direct deposit every month. This is also the minimum direct deposit you will need to earn rewards on this account.

The Rewards checking has a $5 minimum balance monthly fee, that is waived for City Employees and City Retirees with at least $500 total direct deposit, or by keeping your daily balance above $500.

As long as you meet the minimum requirements, your fee is waived. See our fee schedule for complete details.

Yes! The City Tier is set up to ensure all city employees can get cash-back rewards, as long as they have direct deposit. If your direct deposit amount and debit card activity qualifies you for the higher tier, you will earn the higher tier reward amounts!
