ELECTION NOTICE

Fort Worth City Credit Union will hold its 96th Annual Meeting at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday April 16, 2026, at Will Rogers Memorial Center. More information and registration details will be sent as the date gets closer.

WHAT:   Dinner, entertainment, and our annual business meeting.

This year there are four positions open for election on the Board of Directors. After careful review, the Nominating Committee appointed by the Board of Directors has nominated one member for each position to be filled. Three positions carry a three-year term. One additional position is to fill a vacancy, and the elected individual will serve the remainder of the unexpired term. The nominees are as follows:

3 Year Term – Feleshia Cochran (incumbent)
3 Year Term – Fernando Gonzalez (incumbent)
3 Year Term – Charles Ramirez (incumbent)
1 Year Term – Dana Burghdoff
 

A brief statement of qualifications and biographical data for each of the nominees is included with this notice. ( see below)

Further nominations may be made by official petition signed by 161 eligible members.  Official petitions and the rules and instructions for the completion of the official petition may be obtained by contacting Ron Fox, President/CEO, at the Fort Worth City Credit Union main office, which is located at 2309 Montgomery Street, Fort Worth, TX 76107, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Official petitions must be completed in full compliance with the election rules as set forth in the rules and instructions for the completion of the official petition and must include each signer's signature and printed name, the last 4 digits of the signer’s member number, and the signer’s complete address and telephone number. Members who are 18 years of age or older and who meet certain requirements under the Texas Finance Code and Regulations of the Texas Credit Union Commission are eligible for election. Official petitions must be accompanied by a signed statement from the nominee that he or she is agreeable to the nomination and will accept office if elected and should also include a brief statement of qualifications and biographical data. Elected officials are legally responsible for the fiscal integrity of the Credit Union and for compliance with State and Federal laws.

Official petitions must be filed at the Fort Worth City Credit Union office, which is located at 2309 Montgomery Street, Fort Worth, TX 76107, by 10:00 a.m. on March 2, 2026, which is the closing date for receiving nominations by petition. There will be no nominations from the floor.  The election will not be conducted by a vote when there is only one nominee for each position to be filled. When only one member is nominated for each position to be filled, each nominee shall be deemed elected by general consent or acclamation. If there is more than one nominee for any position to be filled, the election shall be by plurality vote at the meeting.

Brief statement of qualifications and biographical data for each of the nominees:

Feleshia Cochran (Incumbent)
Ms. Cochran has served as Director on the Board of FWCCU since August 2018.  She began her professional career in the Human Resources field.  She’s worked in the roles of HR Generalist, Staffing Coordinator and Sr H R Analyst for the municipalities of Denton and Carrollton before accepting a position with the State of Texas.  Her career with the City of Fort Worth began in the Human Resources Department, Employee Relations division.  She then moved to the Fort Worth Convention Center as Operations Manager and worked her way up to General Manager of the facility.  Feleshia retired from the City of Fort Worth in 2019 after 22 years of service.  She has both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Texas Woman’s University.  She volunteers at her church and is a member of the Tarrant County College South Campus Senior Education Advisory Committee.

Fernando Gonzalez (Incumbent)
Mr. Gonzalez has served as Director on the Board of FWCCU since November 2007.  He advanced through the ranks of the Fort Worth Fire Department where, in addition to a Fire Fighter/EMT, he served as a Rescue Diver, Arson Investigator, Bomb Squad Commander and Professional Standards Supervisor. He retired as Executive Deputy Chief after 34 years of service. Mr. Gonzalez has an undergraduate and Master of Science degree in Organizational and Strategic Leadership from Mountain State University. He resides in Euless and is a proud father of an O.R. nurse and grandfather of an honor student.

Charles Ramirez (Incumbent)
Mr. Charles Ramirez has served as a Director on the Board of FWCCU since October 2012.  He currently serves as the Secretary of the Board.  Mr. Ramirez joined the Fort Worth Police Department in 1991 and retired in 2021. Throughout his extensive career at FWPD, he served in many duties including neighborhood patrol officer, detective, sergeant in field operations and traffic investigations, lieutenant in recruiting and background checks, and commander for neighborhood police operations. He then served as Deputy Chief for several bureaus, overseeing divisions for Homeland Security/Intelligence, Criminal Investigations, Special Operations and Tactical Command (SWAT), Traffic, Communications, Forensics, Narcotics, Computer Crimes, and Field Operations. He also led operations in support of Youth Services.  Mr. Ramirez now serves as Chief of Police for Eagle Mountain/Saginaw ISD.

Dana Burghdoff
Ms. Burghdoff is Assistant City Manager for the City of Fort Worth, where she has worked since 1999. Her current portfolio includes the Neighborhood Services, Park & Recreation, Library, Code Compliance, and Planning departments, along with supporting the City’s Good Natured greenspace initiative and development of Panther Island. Ms. Burghdoff holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in City Planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and is certified by the American Institute of Certified Planners. She serves as a director on the boards for CNM - Center for Nonprofit Management and Girl Scouts of Texas-Oklahoma Plains, and is a member of Leadership Fort Worth, Leadership North Texas, and Women’s Policy Forum of Tarrant County.
