NCUA Insurance

All accounts at Fort Worth City Credit Union are insured by the National Credit Union Administration, which is a U.S. Government Agency.  Member accounts are federally insured up to $250,000, and are backed by the full faith and credit of the United States Government.

Security

In addition to more than 75-years of success and growth within the financial industry, we operate under laws and regulations that restrict investments to safe and insured items.  Annual exams by regulators and independent audits by a C.P.A. firm ensure compliance with these requirements.

All credit union accounts are insured up to $250,000 by the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund, and agency of the federal government.  It is one of the strongest share guarantees in the nation.
The term "noninterest-bearing transaction account" includes a traditional share draft account (or demand deposit account) on which the insured credit union pays no interest or dividend.  It does not include any transaction account that may earn interest or dividends, a negotiable order of withdrawal ("NOW") account, and money-market deposit accounts, even if share drafts may be drawn on the account.

For more information about temporary NCUA insurance coverage of transaction accounts, visit www.ncua.gov.

As a member of Fort Worth City Credit Union you have the right to review the most current summary of the annual audit, the balance sheet, income statement, the IRS Form 990 and the written Board Policy regarding access to articles of incorporation, bylaws, rules, guidelines, board policies, and copies thereof.  This information can be obtained at the Credit Union.
