President’s Message

Spring 2019

PRESIDENT RON FOX

We have been very busy this year with several new projects that will soon be rolled out to the membership. A summary of these are:

New Web Site

You may already know that we upgraded our web site in March. Although our web site is updated almost daily, this move was to a new host and platform so we have all the latest features and functionality.

New Digital Platforms (Home Banking and Mobile App)

The target conversion date is Wednesday June 5th. We are moving our entire home banking and mobile platforms. Everything will change except for the Bill Pay and the Remote Check Deposit platforms and it will be for the better, but there will be a learning curve. Members will have more features and options and it will be more customizable. More details will come as we get closer to the date.

New Account & Lending Platforms (Online & In-house)

This project is major and will affect our staff more than the members. Our staff will utilize a new system when creating loans and opening all new deposit products. However, members will be using this same platform to apply for loans and open accounts through our website or mobile app. The lending platform is scheduled to go live on March 26th when our new web site is launched. So getting your loans done online will be easier. The deposit product portion will then start being built and we hope to have this go live in conjunction with our new digital platforms on June 5th.

Open New H-E-B In-Store Branch

We have been in the process of designing and developing a new branch that will go in the new H-E-B Grocery in Hudson Oaks. This is just before you get into Weatherford and the address is 100 Hudson Oaks Blvd., Hudson Oaks, TX. This will be a small 600 square foot space at the front of the store and it will have a smart ATM that will accept cash and check deposits. The ATM will also be in the COOP Shared ATM network and the staff will be able to do Shared Branch transactions as well.

We have several other 2019 projects but none that affect our member touch points like those above. I am really excited about these improvements and I appreciate the Board’s support in authorizing the expenditures needed to make these improvements. These are big enhancements, but we know if want to keep your business we have to keep our technology current and improve your access to us.

As always, your membership and participation in Fort Worth City Credit Union is greatly appreciated. The high loyalty and product usage among our membership is what makes us successful and enables us to offer the best rates, and yet still provide our annual profit sharing program.
